Choose a Brokerage
Once you have your real estate license, you'll need to choose a broker to work with. It may seem like you have endless options, but you'll want to consider several factors.
Here are some things you want to ask:
How long has the company been in this area?
How long has the broker been selling real estate?
How do they support newly licensed agents?
What sort of support staff do they have?
What types of support is offered for marketing properties? For marketing yourself?
Is new technology incorporated as it evolves?
Does the office provide training on real estate tools and tecnology?
Are there opportunities for learning and development?
Learning and Development
As a newly licensed agent, it will be important that you choose a company with a mentor program and training structure that is tailored to agents who are just getting started. You will want information on best practices, plenty of successful agents to learn from, and an experienced broker who is invested in your success.
Structure and Support
As your business grows, you need a support staff that can assist you. Look for a company that has systems built around agent success. The managers and support staff should be available, accessible and knowledgeable about the tools you need so that you can build your business right from the start.
A well-known brand gives you instant credibility, and a small office means you're not lost in the crowd. Look for one that has the best of both worlds. A mix of seasoned agents and newer ones will be able to support you throughout your career. Look for a warm welcome from staff and and agents who have fun together.
If you're looking for a brokerage that has it all, you just found it.
You need to be at RE/MAX On the River.
